Your Retirement Benefits

Retirement can be scary without a plan. That’s why we offer multiple benefits to our members.

Defined-Benefit Pension

This is a traditional pension — not a 401(k). Your retirement benefit is defined by formula based on your years of credited service and your contribution history, not by market performance. You know, in advance, approximately what you’ll receive in retirement.

The fund is jointly managed by trustees representing both the union and signatory employers.

For a benefit estimate, questions about vesting, or information about survivor benefits, contact the funds office.

Additional Accumulation Benefit

An Additional Accumulation Benefit is a retirement benefit funded by employer contributions made on your behalf. The money builds over time and provides an additional source of retirement income beyond your regular pension.

John Hancock Savings Plan

A John Hancock Savings Plan is a personal retirement savings account that allows members to invest their contributions in a range of investment options, helping them build additional savings for retirement.
